Rest Stops

This is a series I am doing for the month of October. If you are new, you can start HERE.
Day 21

Thoughts on Joy:
Along the lines of the service stations I mentioned yesterday, rest stops are an important part of finding joy in our journey. Sometimes we just need to pull over to the side of the long road we are traveling and take a minute to enjoy ourselves: toss a frisbee, have a picnic dinner, stretch our legs. It's a sharpening the saw kind of thing. When I am well-rested and rejuvenated I feel not only more ready to get back on the road and keep pushing forward, but I feel more joy in the journey itself.

Today I Found Joy in My Journey:
--taking a much needed nap with my little buddy.
--perusing used books.
--going to a poetry reading by our good friend, Dan Morris.
--enjoying an especially delicious bowl of  warm Apple Brown Betty with vanilla ice cream.

--meeting new people.

 What brought you joy today?
