Last week I got a custom order through my Etsy shop. Yep, I do custom orders. The girl who ordered it wanted something similar to this card that she could frame and give her friends to use at their guest book table for their wedding. This is what I designed for her. It was a lot of fun and she seemed really pleased with the finished result. She even promised to send me a picture from the wedding reception. I had a lot of fun working with her and creating something special for her to give her friends.
This is 5"x7". I used real salvaged Scrabble tiles and a vintage dictionary page from the 50s with "marriage" as one of the guide words. Pretty fun, eh?
If you are ever interested in a custom order feel free to contact me through my Etsy shop or through my blog here. The turn around was pretty quick and my prices are really reasonable.
Today's Poem: "Believe Me, If All Those Endearing Young Charms" by Thomas Moore. (This poem has such a sweet story behind it. Read it here.)

Today's Poem: "Believe Me, If All Those Endearing Young Charms" by Thomas Moore. (This poem has such a sweet story behind it. Read it here.)
- Believe me, if all those endearing young charms,
- Which I gaze on so fondly today,
- Were to change by tomorrow and fleet in my arms,
- Like fairy wings fading away
- Thou wouldst still be adored, as this moment thou art,
- Let thy loveliness fade as it will;
- And around the dear ruin each wish of my heart
- Would entwine itself fervently still.
- It is not while beauty and youth are thine own,
- And thy cheeks unprofaned by a tear,
- That the fervor and faith of a soul can be known,
- To which time will but make thee more dear.
- No, the heart that has truly loved never forgets,
- But as truly loves on to the close:
- As the sunflower turns on her god when he sets
- The same look which she turned when he rose.
