This is me on my birthday. |
Highlights:
1. We hit a K-Mart store closing sale and scored some awesome deals including a hard-back copy of Crossed by Ally Condie for $6.00. I guess I can take my name off the waiting list at the library.
2. I went to see "The Hunger Games" with my husband. Loved it. I thought the film makers did a great job. It made me want to read the book again--it has been awhile.
3. I ate lobster. Since we are not moving to Maine, this is my consolation prize (my husband applied for a job there awhile back). Yeah, it was a little pricey but you are only 28* once, right? This is the fist time I have had lobster by itself--not little bits of it in dip or something like that. It was delicious.
4. David made me a fancy birthday cake--chocolate pound cake with a cream cheese and fresh raspberry filling. Yum.
5. I received some sweet birthday presents including a Raclette grill. This is something we have talked about getting for years ever since discovering Raclette at our friend Francine's house, but it was a total surprise to me, which is always fun.
I also have some birthday money. It is going to be fun deciding what I want to get with that.
I sure am
Thank you to everyone who made me feel loved this week.

Glad it was such a happy day Jill!
Oooooooo a Raclette grill?!?! You were spoiled indeed!1 I'm glad you had a happy happy birthday Jill :D I now need to explain the joy of Raclette to my husband so that he knows what to get me!
I bet you're a pro at Raclette. Didn't you serve your mission in Switzerland? Y'all will have to come over one night--it's an eight person party grill so there would be enough space for everyone. :)
Happy birthday!!
