Reap Joy

This is a series I am doing for the month of October. If you are new, you can start HERE.
Day 23
Thoughts on Joy:

Yesterday we had a couple of missionaries from our church over for dinner. I told them about my little joy project and asked them for their thoughts on joy.

One of them talked about his greatest joy coming from knowing he is a child of God. The other one talked about an analogy he had heard which compared our lives to a play in which the real "happily ever after" doesn't come until the final act--after this life, when we return to live with our Heavenly Father and are reunited with our loved ones who have gone before us.

I liked their perspective. I've had some hard days since I started this little project (today was not one of them; today has been great) but I am so thankful to know that bad days end. The happily ever is not yet but it will come. In the meantime we have moments of joy which give us a glimpse into eternity.

Today I Found Joy in My Journey:
--little prism rainbows.
--making it to church on time for the second week in a row.
--hearing my son sing in church. He did a great job.
--my ritual Sunday nap.
--a relaxing day with free time to just read a good book.

 What brought you joy today?
